About Us
Who we are
We’re a group of Christ-loving, Indonesian transplants living in Southern California. We see a crisis in our home country of Indonesia. On the island of Sumba, many children are not going to school because their parents cannot afford it.
Our team stretches across the globe. We partner with a local church to place pastors in three villages in Sumba. There they work to build relationships, share the Word of God, and help educate the kids of Sumba.
We came together to form Love Sumba in 2016. Today, we are serving over 64 kids.

Why Sumba?
Extreme poverty is all over, but Sumba struck a chord. This island is still developing - which leaves most villagers stuck in time. Many areas have no running water or electricity, let alone a school.
Families remain in a cycle of poverty and have asked for help. Parents tell us they want a better future for their children.
