Our mission is to educate children on the island of Sumba. It’s as simple as that.
We're a group of Christ-loving, Indonesian transplants living in Southern California. We see a crisis in our home country of Indonesia. On the island of Sumba, many children are not going to school because their parents cannot afford it. We came together to form Love Sumba in 2016. Today, we are serving over 64 children. |

Why Sumba?
Extreme poverty is all over, but Sumba touched our hearts. The island is still developing- which leaves most villagers stuck in time. There is no running water in many areas, no electricity, or even a school.
Families remain in a cycle of poverty and have asked for help. Parents tell us they want a better future for their children.

Why we are fundraising
We see a lot of potential in the children we are helping and need to build a permanent ministry campus. By faith, and many people’s generosity, we were able to purchase land for our site. We built a water well; now we need to build a home for our staff and the children we serve.
Your generosity stretches beyond a physical building - it helps our ministry team continue their work in Sumba. Our team has dedicated their lives to serving the community they live in.
Donations are used to support our team, purchase school supplies, uniforms, and shoes for the children we serve.
